Seedlings (grown from seed).
A striking floriferous species from Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam. These will be very compact growing plants that produce flowers in hues from yellow-orange to red-orange. Often confused with V. miniata, these seedlings have a distinctly different straight lip (V. miniata has a recurved lip). These are flowering-size plants in 2” pots. Photo #1 shows a flowering sibling plant from this group of seedlings. Photo #2 shows a close-up of the flowers.
We grow these in our Cattleya house where they get medium to bright filtered light (2,500-3,000 fc), and are watered almost daily. Best grown in hanging pots/baskets with no media.
