Seedlings (grown from seed)
An enchanting warm to cool growing species from Mexico. We have long yearned to try this species ourselves but had stayed away thinking we were too hot. As an experiment, we got some plants early this year and put them in our Phalaenopsis house where they have done very well and all flowered this Summer! So, we got a few more to make available for our customers. Our Phalaenopsis house still sees temps into the lower 90’s during the Summer but the lower light level seems to help plants better moderate leaf temps. Fragrant!
These are flowering size plants in 3” pots. Photo #1 shows the typical flowers while Photo #2 shows an example of the size plants offered for sale.
Please note that these are seedlings and that there can be quite a bit of variability between plants (even with the same parents).
We grow these in our “Phalaenopsis house” where they get low-medium to filtered light (1,000-1,500 foot-candles) and are watered when the media dries. These may be grown in pots/baskets or mounted.
PLEASE FAMILIARIZE YOURSELF WITH OUR SHIPPING POLICY (ESPECIALLY AS IT RELATES TO COLD WEATHER) BEFORE FINALIZING YOUR ORDER.
