Cattleya pupurata
Cattleya purpurata
(fma flamea ‘Liz Hamilton’ x ‘Canaima’s Amigas’)
Grown from seed.
Lovely, robust growing species from Brazil whose flowers are also fragrant. These are flowering size plants growing in 4” and 4.5” pots. We have seen some lovely color variations and nice forms so far.
Photo#’s 1-4 show the flowers from a few sibling plants from this grex. Photo #5 shows an example of a plant in 4” pots.
These grow well for us in our “Cattleya House”, which receives bright filtered light (2,500-3,000 foot candles) and is watered when the media dries.
