Guarianthe skinneri
Seedlings (grown from seed)
A vigorous-growing, and highly floriferous, Spring-flowering species from Mexico through Costa Rica. This highly sought after species is the national flower of Costa Rica! These are robust-growing, flowering size plants in 4” pots. Flowers are lightly fragrant.
Photo #1 shows an example of the flowers of this species.
Photo #2 shows an example of the size plants offered for sale.
Please note that these are seedlings and that there can be quite a bit of variability between plants with regards to plant vigor and flower color, shape and size (even with the same parents).
We grow these in our “Cattleya house” where they get medium to bright filtered light (2,500-3,000 foot-candles) and are watered when the media dries. These may be grown in pots/baskets or mounted.
PLEASE FAMILIARIZE YOURSELF WITH OUR SHIPPING POLICY (ESPECIALLY AS IT RELATES TO COLD WEATHER) BEFORE FINALIZING YOUR ORDER.
