Guarianthe aurantiaca (fma punctata 'Mishima Spots' x 'Deep Red')

$25.00

fma punctata ‘Mishima Spots’ x ‘Deep Red’

Seedlings (grown from seed)

A showy, floriferous, hot to cool growing species from locals stretching from Mexico through Costa Rica that flowers in late Winter to Spring. The “punctata” form features spots throughout the flower. This is an exploratory cross looking too see how/if the spots will carry through to other color forms of this showy species. We expect varied color forms from this grex.

These are flowering size plants in 3” pots (should flower Spring 2027). Photo #1 shows the typical flowers of the punctata form; Photo #2 shows an example of the red form; Photo #3 shows an example of the size plants offered for sale.

Please note that these are seedlings and that there can be quite a bit of variability between plants (even with the same parents).

We grow these in our “Cattleya house” where they get medium to bright filtered light (2,500-3,000 foot-candles) and are watered when the media dries.  These may be grown in pots/baskets or mounted.
