Remake of the primary hybrid, C. Porphyrophlebia (a very old hybrid registered in 1885 by Veitch), using coerulea parents. Cutting edge breeding from Orchid Eros in Hawaii! These are young plants in 2.5” pots that are 1-2 years from flowering. The photo shows an example of the size plants offered for sale. We have not flowered any plants from this grex yet, so we do not have a flower photo.
We grow these in our “Cattleya house” where they get medium to bright filtered light (2,500-3,000 foot-candles) and are watered when the media dries. These may be grown in pots/baskets or mounted.
