This charming, eye-catching miniature species from China and Vietnam is also known as the Dutch Shoe Orchid. Flower colors can range from cream to green to red with darker red spots. These are flowering size plants that have been mounted to plastic rafts with a little sphagnum moss. Photo #1 shows what the flowers of this species can look like. We grow these in our “Cattleya house” where they get medium filtered light (1,500-2,000 foot-candles) and are watered when just as the media is approaching dryness (keep moist). These may be grown in pots/baskets or mounted
