Brm. Jamaica Fire

$45.00

(Grt. Why Not ‘Elizabeth’ x Mcp. brysiana ‘Orange Beauty’)

Seedlings (grown from seed).

Claude Hamilton’s remake of one of his most famous hybrids (and by far the most sought after)! These produce flowers in hues from burnt-orange to bright red, on vigorous growing plants that will flower several times per year once mature. Mature plants can also be acclimatized to grow in full sun, making them ideal for use in landscapes on trees that receive very bright light! The are young, flowering-size plants in 4” pots. Photo’s 1-3 show different specimens of this hybrid. Photo #4 shows an example of the size plants offered for sale.

Please note that these are seedlings and that there can be quite a bit of variability between plants (even with the same parents).

We grow these in our “Cattleya house” where they get medium to bright filtered light (2,500-3,000 foot-candles) and are watered when the media dries.  These may be grown in pots/baskets or mounted.

PLEASE FAMILIARIZE YOURSELF WITH OUR SHIPPING POLICY (ESPECIALLY AS IT RELATES TO COLD WEATHER) BEFORE FINALIZING YOUR ORDER.
