Brassavola appendiculata

from $35.00

Seedlings (grown from seed).

Extremely attractive species found ranging from Mexico through South America. Most often, a single flower is borne per inflorescence. Flowers are fragrant, white to creamy-yellow and have long, elegant, slender segments and a long, frilled, pointed lip. We have plants in two pot sizes available; 2.5’ pots and 3.5” net pots (both sizes should start flowering next year if not sooner).

Photo #1 shows a large mature plant in flower. Photo #2 shows the flower of this species. Photo #3 shows an example of the size plants in 2.5” pots. Photo #4 shows an example of the size plants in 3.5” net pots.

We grow these in our “Cattleya house” where they get medium to bright filtered light (2,500-3,000 foot-candles) and are watered when the media dries.  We recommend growing these mounted!
